Impressive PR67 1887 Dime
1887 10C PR67 NGC. Struck from overpolished dies with incomplete detailing on the drapery near the shield. This is found on a minority of proof 1887 dimes. The surfaces on this piece are deeply reflective in the fields, no doubt from the overzealous repolishing, and there is a slight overlay of mint frost on the devices. The reverse is more toned than the obverse with dusky cinnamon color in the center that deepens to a bright blue at the margin. The obverse is brilliant over most of that side with a couple of thin rings of color present at the periphery.
