A Superlative Example and Among the Finest Known

1888 10C PR67 Cameo NGC. Fortin-103. Of the three proof dies known for this date, this one shows the date level. Usually seen with a die defect in the upper loop of the final 8, but not seen here. Both sides are highly reflective in the fields and the devices display thick mint luster that provides the cameo contrast. The surfaces are essentially brilliant on both obverse and reverse. Census: 8 in 67 Cameo, 0 finer (2/10).(Registry values: N2998)
