Description

1891 Dime, Vividly Toned PR68 Cameo
Ex: Gardner, Sole Finest at PCGS and CAC

1891 10C PR68 Cameo PCGS. CAC. The Seated Liberty quarter dollar series came to an end with the production of 600 proofs in 1891, and this PR68 Cameo example is tied for finest certified at both services -- and regardless of level of contrast designated. Each side boasts electric-blue centers that cede to jade-green, yellow, and rose-violet. The effect is especially vivid on the reverse. Reflective fields, razor-sharp motifs, and nearly blemish-free surfaces are unsurprising, given the grade, and they produce impressive contrast. This is a top-quality Superb Gem with the eye appeal to match its nearly flawless technical grade. Population: 1 in 68 Cameo, 0 finer. CAC: 1 in 68 Cameo, 0 finer (2/16).
