Description

1860 Seated Dollar, PR64+ Cameo
Lightly to Moderately Toned

1860 $1 PR64+ Cameo NGC. CAC. OC-P1, R.2. The Guide Book reports an 1860 proof mintage of 1,330 pieces, but that figure does not take into account the number of unsold proof sets melted by the Mint. According to Walter Breen, only 527 sets were distributed. This nicely struck specimen displays medium orange-gold and plum-red toning. No detractions are readily evident. Census: 4 in 64 Cameo (2 in 64+), 12 finer. CAC: 18 in 64, 2 finer (3/21).(Registry values: N4719)
