    Description

    NGC PR64 1868 Seated Dollar

1868 $1 PR64 NGC. A lovely near-Gem example with nicely mirrored surfaces and few noticeable flaws, this piece appears undergraded until one notices a few pinpoint contact marks near Liberty's neck and chest that sound much worse than they actually appear. Brilliant save for mild russet-charcoal patina around the peripheries, and well struck throughout, even on the oft-softly struck stars, denticles and details in Liberty's head.
From the James L. Moore Collection.
