Incredible White-on-Black Contrast
1869 $1 PR64 Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. This boldly struck
near-Gem proof is the very definition of "eye appeal." Seemingly
infinite depth of mirroring in the fields beautifully frames
thickly frosted relief elements, delivering a degree of contrast
that is downright rare on proof Seated dollars of the period and
more reminiscent of the carefully manufactured modern proofs of the
post-1950s era. Faint traces of tan-gold color highlight the
devices, attesting to the originality of the surfaces. PCGS has
certified only 25 Deep Cameo representatives of this issue, ten of
