Description

1870 OC-10 Seated Dollar, PR63
High R.6, Rarer Variety

1870 $1 PR63 PCGS. OC-10, High R.6. Type One Reverse. Die State a/e. This rare variety piece can be attributed to a nearly circular die line at Liberty's waist and a die line near the shield's ribbon. Obsidian tones envelop this piece with reflective fields. There are some minor abrasions below the eagle's beak, but do not prove overly detrimental to the distinct appeal. This coin represents an ideal opportunity to obtain this scarce variety.
