Sans Weakness and Abrasions
1872 $1 PR62 NGC. OC-P1, R.2. Apricot and russet dominate
the surfaces of this dollar, highlighted with regions of earl-gray.
Weakness and abrasions are both absent. A record circulation strike
mintage in 1872 was accompanied with a minute drop in proof
production from 960 to 950 coins. Just a single die marriage
accomplished this production, an impressive feat, and
