Nicely Toned Choice Proof 1872 Seated Dollar
1872 $1 PR64 NGC. One of 950 proofs struck, this example displays medium-blue toning in most of the recessed areas, and magenta coloration in the open fields. The design elements of this attractive Liberty Seated Dollar are well brought up throughout, and the surfaces appear to be devoid of any severe contact marks. Wispy hairlines are observed in the obverse fields when the coin is tilted under a light source, thus limiting the grade.
