    Description

    1837 Seated Half Dime, PR62
    No Stars, Large Date
    Misplaced Date

1837 H10C No Stars, Large Date, PR62 PCGS. CAC. V-1, Flynn MPD-001. A rare early proof issue. All four date digits are obviously repunched, most prominently beneath the 8. The strike is intricate at the centers, although Liberty's hair, the first T in STATES, and the left ribbon end show incompleteness. A loupe reveals moderate field hairlines beneath medium almond-gold and cream-gray toning. Encapsulated in a green label holder.
