1866 H10C PR67+ Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. The 1866 proof Seated
Liberty half dime claims a small mintage of 725 pieces, making the
date elusive in all grades today. Only 10,000 business-strike coins
were produced, putting added pressure on the small supply of proofs
from date collectors.The present coin is a spectacular Superb Gem, with razor-sharp definition on all design elements and deeply mirrored fields that contrast profoundly with the frosty devices to create a dazzling cameo effect. The impeccably preserved surfaces are essentially brilliant and eye appeal is terrific. Population: 1 in 67 (1 in 67+) Deep Cameo, 0 finer. CAC: 2 in 67, 0 finer (8/20).
