Description

Patinated 1866 Half Dime
PR68, Single Highest Graded

1866 H10C PR68 NGC. Ex: P. Kaufman. Among the 725 proofs struck, only the present specimen has attained the PR68 level. It has been that way for at least a decade, given the prior generation of the NGC holder. This flashy high grade proof half dime is beautifully patinated in navy-blue and honey-gold shades. The surfaces are pristine and the strike is sharp with only trivial blending on the cereal grains of the wreath. Census: 1 in 68, none finer (6/12).(Registry values: P2)
