Description

1868 Half Dime, PR66 Deep Cameo
Low Number of Survivors With Contrast
Finest Deep Cameo at PCGS

1868 H10C PR66 Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. The 1868 half dime had a predictably low mintage of proofs with only 600 pieces produced. This is one of the finest known, and certainly one of the most attractive. It is the sole PR66 Deep Cameo certified at PCGS, and none are finer at either service (12/13). Deepest mirrors are seen in the fields, providing a "black" background for the thickly frosted devices. The interiors are brilliant with toning only seen around the margins, and the reverse peripheral color is wider than seen on the obverse.(Registry values: P1)
