Description
1871 Seated Liberty Half Dime, PR66 Cameo
1871 H10C PR66 Cameo NGC. CAC. An exquisitely patinated example of this popular 19th century type coin, the surfaces display vivid shades of lime-green and golden-brown. The strike is exemplary, creating the stark field-device contrast characteristic of the Cameo designation. Note the incomplete top of D in UNITED almost always seen on this issue. Few survivors from the tiny mintage of 960 pieces can match the appeal of this specimen. Census: 5 in 66 Cameo, 7 finer (7/10).(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2368, PCGS# 84454, GSID# 3946)
