1871 Half Dime, PR67 Ultra Cameo
Among the Finest
1871 H10C PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC. This stunning Superb Gem
proof offers silver-white surfaces on both sides that meld into the
desired silver-on-black contrast when turned to the proper angle.
Under a high-power loupe both some die rust on the Liberty device
and tiny pebbles in the planchet appear. Neither should be
considered grade-affecting, although we note them for accuracy. The
strike is essentially unimprovable. Census: 4 in 67 Ultra Cameo, 0
finer (12/13).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2008), lot 1623.
