Description
1860 50C PR63 PCGS. Type Two Reverse. The lower obverse margin exhibits a narrow band of peach patina, but most collectors would regard this half dollar as brilliant. Sharply struck with flashy fields and noticeable (though undesignated) cameo contrast. The Guide Book mintage of 1,000 pieces is misleading, since many proof sets failed to sell and were melted by Mint.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27TK, PCGS# 6414, GSID# 6443)
