Description
1864 Seated Liberty Half Dollar, PR65 Cameo
Vivid Toning, Only One Certified Finer
1864 50C PR65 Cameo NGC. The peripheries of this spectacular
gem are awash in shades of violet and green, while the centers
remain brilliant silver. The sharply rendered frosty devices
contrast boldly with the deeply mirrored fields, but even the
stunning Cameo effect seems secondary to the vivid play of colors.
NGC has graded five coins in PR65 Cameo, with a single specimen
finer, while PCGS has seen only one example in this exalted grade,
with none finer (8/10).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27TR, PCGS# 86418, GSID# 6456)
