Spectacular 1864 Half Dollar, Gem Proof
1864 50C PR65 NGC. Ex: Jules Reiver Collection. Vivid lime-green, lavender, and rose colors graces the surfaces of this essentially unblemished and magnificently preserved Gem. The strike is razor-sharp except for slight softness on the eagle's left (facing) ankle. The Jules Reiver Collection features many outstanding proof Seated Half Dollars, and this pedigree indicates that this specimen is among the most attractive. Only 470 proofs were struck.
