1865 50C PR64 PCGS. Variegated walnut-brown and stone-gray adorn this fully struck and flashy near-Gem. Exemplary despite a single small spot near the left (facing) elbow. Only 500 proofs were coined for this historic year, which witnessed the end of the Civil War and the first Presidential assassination.
