Description
1866 50C Motto PR64 NGC. CAC. Splendid orange-gold, plum-red, navy-blue, and olive-green consume the obverse. The reverse apricot and rose-red toning is nearly as dramatic. Fully struck except on the eagle's left (facing) ankle. Just 725 proofs were struck. Census: 33 in 64, 20 finer (6/10).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27TZ, PCGS# 6424, GSID# 6462)
