Description

1867 50C PR63 Cameo PCGS. A goodly number of the 625-piece mintage of 1867 proof halves have apparently survived, judging from the fairly large number certified by PCGS and NGC. Cameos, such as this select specimen, are more challenging. Sharply impressed, with excellent contrast, and a thin coat of champagne-gold color. Some wispy handling marks in the obverse fields limit the grade. Population: 6 in 63 Cameo, 16 finer (10/09).
