Exquisite 1869 Half Dollar, PR65
1869 50C PR65 PCGS. The half dollar saw 600 proofs coined in 1869. PCGS and NGC have graded approximately 300 pieces, the vast majority through PR64. Gunmetal-blue adorns the Liberty motif on this Gem, yielding to sky-blue and golden-brown in the fields. Champagne-gold dominates the reverse central device, while the fields assume a mix of sky-blue, purple, and soft beige-gold. Exquisitely struck and well preserved throughout. Population: 12 in 65, 4 finer (8/08).From The Sundance Collection.
