Attractively Toned 1870 PR64 Half Dollar
1870 50C PR64 NGC. An attractive blend of medium intensity cobalt-blue, purple, yellow-gold, and orange patina bathes this near-Gem proof half, and an exacting strike imparts crisp definition to the design elements, save for a touch of softness on the left (facing) claw. A few unobtrusive handling marks preclude Gem classification. Census: 32 in 64, 22 finer (7/08).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27U5, PCGS# 6428, GSID# 6476)
