1871 Seated Liberty Half Dollar, PR64 ★
Deeply Mirrored, Attractively Toned Proof
1871 50C PR64 ★ NGC. From a fairly large proof mintage of
960 pieces, the 1871 Seated Liberty half dollar is scarce today in
PR64 or higher grades. The fields of this pleasing specimen are
deeply mirrored on each side. The obverse surfaces are deeply
toned, with a scarlet center surrounded by cobalt at the rim. The
reverse is brilliant, with a slight accent of golden and blue.
