1874 Arrows Half, PR64 Cameo
Attractive Example of This Two-Year Type
1874 50C Arrows PR64 Cameo NGC. After the weight change in
the previous year from 12.44 grams to 12.50 grams, arrows were
added to each side of the date to indicate this change. This design
change persisted into 1874, and thus a two-year type coin was
created, one that is especially sought-after as a proof. This
high-grade proof exhibits sharp cameo contrast on each side. The
interiors are brilliant and surrounded by a hint of golden-rose
