Exquisite 1878 Seated Half, PR65 Cameo
1878 50C PR65 Cameo PCGS. Type Two Reverse. This proof Seated half is exquisitely preserved, with only a single small contact mark visible in the right obverse field. More memorable about this Gem is its beautiful toning, with narrow blue peripheral bands fading into red and gold centers. The contrast of mirrors and frosted devices persists through the patina. Population: 5 in 65 Cameo, 5 finer (6/10).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27UD, PCGS# 86439, GSID# 6507)
