Colorful Gem Proof 1879 Half Dollar
1879 50C PR65 ANACS. Type Two Reverse. Beautiful powder-blue, peach, aquamarine, and violet-rose endow this nicely mirrored and unabraded Gem. A good strike despite minor incompleteness on Liberty's hair and the eagle's left (facing) ankle. A low mintage date, since the Philadelphia Mint focused on silver dollar coinage.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27UE, PCGS# 6440, GSID# 6509)
