1879 50C PR67 Cameo PCGS....
Description
1879 Half Dollar, PR67 Cameo
Deeply Mirrored Fields
Among the Finest at PCGS
1879 50C PR67 Cameo PCGS. The 1879 circulation strike
mintage was a paltry 4,800 pieces but the proof mintage was a
robust 1,100 pieces. For the 1879 issue and the succeeding 10 years
proof preservation numbers were high to offset the lack of
high-grade circulation strikes and a handful of Superb Gem Cameos
exist at PCGS. This splendid, brilliant PR67 Cameo is one of those
elite examples. Glassy mirrored fields embrace smooth and richly
frosted raised motifs for outstanding technical quality and
exceptional eye appeal. An exquisite strike accompanies the obverse
and the reverse, with no meaningful distractions of any kind. PCGS
