Description

Lushly Patinated PR66 1882 Half

1882 50C PR66 PCGS. Transparent shades of fuchsia and sage evenly cover the surfaces of this delightful Premium Gem proof. Close perusal with a loupe fails to reveal the most trifling evidence of contact. The half dollars of 1879 through 1890 saw proof mintages that were not much smaller than the minuscule business strike emissions. A sharp and pleasing piece. Population: 21 in 66, 2 finer (8/07).
