Cameo Gem Proof 1886 Half
1886 50C PR65 Cameo NGC. An intricately struck Gem whose untoned centers are framed by rich tobacco-brown, plum-red, and cobalt-blue patina. Exemplary despite a fingerprint trace on the right obverse field. Half dollar production in 1886 was limited to 5,000 business strikes and 886 proofs. Census: 8 in 65 Cameo, 7 finer (5/10).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27UM, PCGS# 86447, GSID# 6531)
