Luminous 1888 Seated Half, PR65 Cameo
1888 50C PR65 Cameo NGC. A flashy Gem with luminous devices and glassy fields. Sun-gold toning clings to the margins. A good strike with minor inexactness on Liberty's hair and the eagle's left (facing) claw. Another low-mintage date, presumably because the Mint relegated its resources to striking legally compelled silver dollars. Census: 15 in 65 Cameo, 9 finer (6/10).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27UP, PCGS# 86449, GSID# 6537)
