Description
1890 Half Dollar, Brilliant PR66 Cameo
Scarce Late-Series Issue
1890 50C PR66 Cameo NGC. A 590-piece proof mintage
represents the penultimate Seated half dollar series date.
Augmented by 12,000 circulation strikes, this low-mintage and
late-series half dollar is always in demand as a proof. The present
flashy proof is a brilliant Premium Gem Cameo example, with
frost-white raised motifs surrounded by stark-white,
glassy-mirrored fields. A full strike has no weakness to mention
and only a few wispy hairlines accompany the Mint-made die polish
lines. Census: 8 in 66 Cameo (1 in 66★ ), 9 finer (11/24).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27US, PCGS# 86451, GSID# 6543)
