Description
Starkly Contrasted 1890 Seated Half, PR67 Cameo
1890 50C PR67 Cameo NGC. From a tiny mintage of 590 pieces, proof 1890 half dollars are rare in all grades. Examples in PR67 Cameo are very rare. NGC has certified only eight examples at the Superb Proof Cameo level, with none finer; while PCGS has graded a single coin in this grade, with one finer (10/09). The present coin is simply magnificent, with boldly impressed frosty devices that contrast vividly with pristine mirrored fields. Overall visual appeal is stunning.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27US, PCGS# 86451, GSID# 6543)
