Description
1857 Seated Quarter, Scarce PR64
Seldom Seen Finer
1857 25C PR64 PCGS. A couple of small ticks on Liberty's
left (facing) arm account for the grade on this near-Gem proof,
seldom seen in finer grades than here. The 1857 Seated quarter
proof issue is legitimately quite scarce, if not perhaps the great
rarity it has been sometimes touted to be. This well-struck example
is one of 10 in this numeric grade at PCGS, and three are finer
(2/15).(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23WJ, PCGS# 5553, GSID# 5279)
