Description
1858 Seated Quarter, PR64
Toned With CAC Endorsement
1858 25C PR64 PCGS. CAC. Briggs 5-E. Attractive, original
toning frames this Choice proof in ocean-blue and lavender-gold
toning, with a delicate champagne hue in the centers. The strike is
bold, and deeply mirrored fields add to the eye appeal. A few faint
marks are only seen with a loupe and do not hinder CAC endorsement.
The 1858 proof quarter is scarce in all grades and prohibitively
rare as a Cameo. This is one of just a handful of pieces in any
grade with CAC endorsement. Population: 15 in 64 (1 in 64+), 7
finer. CAC: 2 in 64, 5 finer (8/23). (Registry values: P5)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23WK, PCGS# 5554, GSID# 5282)
