Scarce PR65 1859 Quarter
1859 25C PR65 NGC. The razor sharp striking definition and shimmering fields are indicative of proof production methods. The dominant colors on both sides of this richly toned example are cobalt-blue and lilac-gray in shade, but a blush of sunset-red patina is noted on the reverse over the eagle's portrait. High quality representatives of this earlier proof Seated quarter are anything but common.
