Description

Important Gem Proof 1859 Quarter

1859 25C PR65 PCGS. Just 800 proof quarters were struck in 1859, and over a century and a half, many of them have been lost to time. This richly toned Gem proof is a delightful exception, with its blue, violet, and lavender hues over the obverse and brighter silver, caramel-gold, and turquoise toning on the reverse. Housed in a green label holder. Population: 7 in 65, 6 finer (8/10).
