Astounding Superb Gem Proof 1859 Quarter
1859 25C PR67 NGC. Type One Obverse, Type Two Reverse. Exquisitely preserved, particularly for the relatively early proof date, and flat-out gorgeous. The obverse has gleaming champagne-gold and orange mirrors framed in violet, and the effigy of Liberty contrasts mildly with the fields. The reverse has zones of dusky peach and blue-green toning that let that side shine only at certain angles.
