Description
1860 25C PR64 PCGS. A charming, deeply toned Seated Liberty quarter. The obverse displays lilac and azure-blue centers surrounded by delightful lemon toning around the perimeter. The inverse is true for the reverse, which has orange-yellow color on the eagle, encircled by electric blue, violet, and scarlet. Semiprooflike luster radiates beneath the attractive toning. Fully struck with excellent eye appeal. Only 1,000 proofs were struck in 1860, minus an uncertain but substantial number that were melted as unsold at year's end.(Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23WM, PCGS# 5556, GSID# 5288)
