Obverse Toned Gem Proof 1862 Quarter
1862 25C PR65 PCGS. The obverse features splendid comprehensive jade-green toning, but flip the coin over, and the reverse is virtually brilliant. Penetratingly struck and essentially immaculate. A couple of faint curved lines on the upper reverse field originated on the planchet. A scant 550 proofs were struck for this challenging Civil War date. Encased in an old green label holder.
