    Description

Lightly Toned 1864 Quarter, PR64 Cameo

1864 25C Quarter PR64 Cameo PCGS. A paltry 470 proof quarters were struck in 1864 plus 93,600 business strikes (most of which were melted or exported). Thus, the 1864 quarter is a scarce item for today's collector. This is a lovely, lightly toned example whose Cameo designation is primarily derived from its exceptionally deep mirrors in the fields. A few wispy hairlines prevent an even higher grade. Population: 10 in 64 Cameo, 3 finer (8/10).
