Description
1865 PR 64 NGC. A scarce coin as a business strike, thus placing added date pressure on the few proofs known of this issue. This coin is deeply toned throughout, the obverse is blue-green with golden accents, the reverse shows a crimson center surrounded with a peripheral ring of cobalt-blue. The fields are quite reflective and show a few wispy hairlines.
