Description

1867 25C PR 66 NGC. The smoky-lilac patina that overlays the obverse competes for dominance with blue-gray toning on the reverse. Both sides reveal brighter pink and electric-blue undertones at select angles. Typically smooth for the grade, this coin's desirability is further enhanced by the low mintage (20,000 pieces) of the business strike 1867 quarter. NGC and PCGS combined report only six coins in PR 66 with a scant three finer (2/00).
