Wonderful 1868 Quarter, PR65 Deep Cameo
Only Deep Cameo Certified by Either Service
1868 25C PR65 Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. The 1868 quarter saw a
mintage of 600 proofs, a fair number of which have survived to the
present day. Indeed, PCGS and NGC have to date (9/09) certified
close to 300 coins. Significantly, the present Gem offering is the
only piece designated a Deep Cameo by either service. Its
essentially untoned surfaces exhibit an exquisite strike and
stunning field-motif contrast. Both sides are nicely
