Conditionally Scarce 1873 Arrows Quarter PR64 Cameo1873 25C Arrows PR64 Cameo NGC. Arrows were placed alongside the date, in 1873 and 1874, to denote an increase in weight from 96 to 96.45 grains. These were removed in 1875 , resulting in a two-year type that is understandably popular with collectors. This attractive proof is well struck and nicely preserved, with glassy mirrored fields and frosted icy-white devices. Speckled red-russet and cobalt-blue iridescence enhances the peripheries. A few faint hairlines are noted in the fields, and a single small contact mark rests alongside Liberty's left (facing) shoulder. Census: 5 in 64 Cameo, 3 finer (6/07).
