Overlooked Gem Proof 1875 Quarter
1875 25C PR 66 NGC. This is a beautifully toned Gem that shows rich charcoal-lavender color throughout. While the proof qualities are largely hidden from view, intense electric-blue undertones are visible at select angles. According to Larry Briggs (1991), the 1875 is the scarcest of all 1870s and 1880s proof Seated quarter issues.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23X7, PCGS# 5576, GSID# 5336)
