Tempting PR65 Cameo 1878 Quarter
1878 25C PR65 Cameo NGC. One of 800 proofs made for the year and certainly among the most beautiful, with fantastic contrast that is undimmed by the hints of cloud-white patina on each side. The mirrors are strong, and the devices are frosty. Though a few planchet flaws are present in the right obverse field, these should not be interpreted as post-striking defects.
