    Description

    1878 Seated Quarter, PR66 Cameo
Richly Toned and Appealing, Only One Finer

1878 25C Quarter PR66 Cameo NGC. Glorious concentric bands of navy-blue, plum, gold, and ruby color invigorate this well-struck Premium Gem. Despite the blanket of dramatic patina, the icy frost on the devices is undeniable. The fields exhibit wispy Mint-made striations from die polish, but are exceptional from a technical perspective. A stingy production of 800 proofs ensures a paucity of high-grade survivors. Census: 7 in 66 Cameo, 1 finer (7/15).
    Ex: Palm Beach Signature (Heritage, 3/2005), lot 5587.(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 23XA, PCGS# 85579)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
