Description

    1880 Seated Quarter
    Colorfully Toned PR67

1880 25C PR67 NGC. The large proof mintage of 1,355 pieces was, in part, a result of speculation in the 1880 proof-only Trade dollars, which were produced in record number. The 1880 quarter was part of the complete silver proof set, a coattail effect that had little to do with the low circulation strike mintages of quarters and half dollars for the year. This reflective Superb Gem is toned in shades of violet, cerulean-blue, and greenish-gold. The strike is pinpoint sharp and the eye appeal is dazzling. Census: 18 in 67 (4 in 67 ), 4 finer, plus 18 in 67 Cameo or Deep Cameo and 6 finer in those formats.(Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 23XC, PCGS# 5581)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
