Description

1880 25C PR 63. This is a popular proof issue among Seated quarter collectors due to the low mintage of business strikes. The present example is largely untoned save for mottled russet highlights about the lower obverse and through the central reverse. As one would expect, the devices are boldly delineated and rise powerfully above the watery fields. A few light hairlines serve to limit the grade.
